The operation was initiated after receiving a tip-off about two individuals selling flavored tobacco that is banned by the government within the Bhisi police station jurisdiction.

Details of the Operation

During their patrol, officers from the local crime branch acted swiftly upon the information received. They managed to seize:

  • Eagle Scented Tobacco: 438 pieces weighing 200 grams each, valued at ₹1,35,780.

  • Hola Hookah Shisha Tobacco: 41 pockets weighing 205 grams each, worth ₹3,03,620.

  • Additional Hookah Shisha Tobacco: 7 pockets weighing 40 grams each, valued at ₹3,360.

  • Eagle Hookah Shisha Tobacco: 33 pockets weighing 400 grams each, totaling ₹2,01,120.

The total seizure amounted to ₹1,93,880.

Following the seizure, a case was registered against the accused under Sections 223 and 275 of the BNS Act and several subsections of the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006. The seized items and the accused were handed over to Kami Police Station for further investigation.
